Passiv launches free heat pump monitoring portal for installers

April, 2026
  • Passiv UK has launched a new web-based dashboard that allows installers to monitor all their heat pump installations.
  • The Passiv Portal lets installers view live and historical data from connected heat pumps, including flow temperatures and schedules.
  • The Passiv Portal is available free for all Passiv Smart Thermostat installers.

22 April 2026 Passiv UK has unveiled a free web-based monitoring portal that enables heat pump installers to remotely track and optimise all their installations from a single, unified dashboard. The Passiv Portal supports 16 heat pump manufacturers, eliminating the need for installers to manage multiple portals across different brands.

As well as supporting individual installers, the portal is designed to provide valuable insights for organisations deploying heat pumps at scale. Social housing providers, housebuilders, heat pump manufacturers and energy suppliers can use the platform to monitor performance across multiple installations and deliver additional services to residents and customers.

The free platform provides live and historic data on system performance, including flow temperatures, energy usage and customer settings. This allows installers to diagnose issues more quickly, reduce unnecessary site visits and deliver improved support to customers.

Ian Rose, Sales and Strategy Director at Passiv UK, said: “Heat pumps are a critical part of the UK’s transition to low-carbon heating, but installers and housing providers often lack visibility once systems are installed. Our new monitoring portal gives installers a simple way to see how their systems are performing, identify issues early and support customers remotely. By bringing all installations into a single dashboard, it reduces the need for site visits and makes ongoing support much easier.”

The Passiv Portal is offered free to installers alongside the Passiv Smart Thermostat, the only smart thermostat designed specifically for controlling heat pumps. Unlike conventional thermostats, it directly controls the heat pump’s flow temperature to optimise system efficiency while maintaining consistent indoor comfort.

The Passiv Smart Thermostat can cut heating bills by up to 30% and improve heat pump efficiency by 17%, according to verification by the Energy Saving Trust. Its ability to optimise heating around time-of-use energy tariffs and rooftop solar generation also supports home decarbonisation and helps future-proof properties against rising energy costs and growing electricity demand.
