Passiv UK at the Housing Executive’s Sustainability Symposium 2024

Passiv UK is thrilled to announce our participation in the Housing Executive's Annual Sustainability Symposium 2024. Held on Tuesday, March 12th at the Isdell Courtyard, Riddel Hall, Queen's University Belfast. This event promises to be a cornerstone for innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development in the social housing sector.

Gareth Chantler, Passiv’s Heat Sales Manager, will be meeting with social housing associations to discuss the crucial steps towards decarbonising the social housing sector. Showcasing the groundbreaking work Passiv has been doing in this area, advising social housing associations on the most effective services and solutions available.

Passiv is partnering with NIHE on the NI Homeinsight project Phase 3. This phase will build on the theoretical modelling and environmental insight of the previous two phases, and demonstrate Passiv’s new commercial product that the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) could deploy as they move towards decarbonising their housing stock.

At the event Gareth will be discussing the challenges in adopting heat pump technology and the importance of smart controls to manage these heat pumps efficiently for Social Housing Landlords, installers and residents.

The Sustainability Symposium 2024 is not just about showcasing innovations; it will be a day filled with learning, networking, and sharing. Attendees will have the chance to hear from diverse speakers, including Ciaran Byrne, Director of National Retrofit, SEAI, and Angus Kerr, Director of Climate Change, Department for Communities. A Q&A session will feature Elma Newberry, (Interim) Director of Regional Services, Housing Executive, and representatives from the construction sector.

This event is an invaluable opportunity for anyone interested in the future of sustainable housing. From insights into the Net Zero New Build development at Sunningdale Gardens, Belfast, to updates on the Corporate Sustainable Development Strategy and Action Plan, there's something for everyone looking to make a difference in the decarbonisation journey.
