The Passiv Smart Energy Platform can lower annual heating bills by up to 35% by improving the performance of a heat pump, increasing efficiency as well as optimising against time of use tariffs and on-site renewable generation. Our Smart Energy Platform operates according to a thermal model of a building.
Once a heat pump is connected, the Passiv Smart Energy Platform uses patented machine-learning algorithms to construct a model of how a home loses heat. Every home is different – built from different materials, exposed to different weather conditions, and lived in differently by its owners. In the same way, the model we build of each home is different. Understanding how a home loses heat alongside local weather forecasts and external temperature estimates allows us to maximise the heat pump’s efficiency and reduce your customer’s energy bills.
